Disable your antivirus

Try uninstalling DVD driver

  • First press the Windows key + X key
  • Then choose Device Manager
  • In the Device Manager look for DVD driver
  • After that right-click on DVD driver and click uninstall
  • Finally, press Ok and restart your PC

Extracting your set up file to a different location

Sometimes extracting the setup file to a separate folder or location can resolve the ‘Source file not found’ error.

Make changes in the value of the registry.

  • Open the registry editor.
  • Then head to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionWinLogonAllocateCDRoms 
  • Look for AllocateCDRoms and double click it.
  • Change the value to 0
  • Reboot your PC and try installing again

Change the extension of the file.

  • Create a copy of the file
  • Set the name of the file same as before but add .dll in the end instead of .bin
