Fix: Windows Mail App keeps crashing

The built-in mail apps let’s send you to compose and send emails. Microsoft improves this app with every update, but the problem of mail app crashing constantly is somewhat still present in the Windows software. We figured some solutions to fix this problem on your computers, so keep reading, folks!

Update your Windows:

  • Press Windows key + I key
  • In settings, click on Updates & Security.
  • Click on check for updates and if there are any, click on update and follow the instructions on the screen.

Restore Mail and Calendar:

  • Press Windows key + I key
  • Then click on Apps
  • Now select Apps and Features.
  • Next, search mail under Apps and Features
  • Click on Mail and Calendar
  • Now further click on the reset button.
  • After that, restart your PC to save changes.

Updating the Mail application:

Sometimes the mail application doesn’t function because of an obsolete version of the mail application. So you should consider updating the mail application and see if the error is fixed.

Switch off sync settings:

  • Go to the settings app and head over to Accounts.
  • Now choose Sync your settings, then select Sync Settings from the right panel.
  • Click turn off.
  • Lastly, restart your PC
