Windows Security is the default Windows 10 antivirus and malicious protection app. Sometimes it conflicts with other apps installation and we need to temporarily turn off Windows 10 antivirus real-time protection from Windows Security.
It is worth mentioning that this method can just temporarily turn off the protection. The real-time protection option will turn on automatically on the next system reboot.
How to turn-off Windows Security real-time protection
- Search Windows Security app and run it.
- Click on Virus & threat protection.
- Under the “Virus & threat protection settings” section, click the Manage settings option.
- Turn off the Real-time protection option
Now you may perform app installation or whatever you want to do without protection enabled. After that, you can manually turn on the real-time protection or just restart the system.
